Notes A colorful mixed strain of pink, lavender, purple, red, and white, trumpet-shaped flowers are borne in profusion on thin spikes nearly all summer long beginning in early summer. Penstemons are very drought tolerant perennials that are easy to grow and are rarely bothered by insects or diseases.
