Sugar Maple
Acer saccharum
Excellent and long-lived shade tree know for spectacular fall colors. Does not like compacted or poorly-drained soils. Fall color is a mix of yellows and orange, occasionally reds. Grows to 40-80 feet tall, 30-60 feet wide.
